Steven Noble was commissioned by CSU Chico to illustrate their new logo mark for use in the university's seals and and bronze medallion plaques. The university was founded back in 1887 and is the second oldest campus in the Califonia State University system and this logo mark commemorates this rich heritage and was cast into a bronze medallion for the investiture and commencement ceremonies. A simplified version of the seal was completed for smaller applications. The illustrations were hand rendered on scratchboard and supplied digitally as eps files.
